Graduate work afforded me the opportunity to pursue theory and pedagogy in the fields I love - Literature and Writing. Through rigorous scholarly research, theory and practice methodology, and exploration of emerging technologies, I gained a strong confidence in writing, research and Composition instruction.

Undergraduate work filled my hunger for a deeper wealth of exploration in literature and writing skills.  I discovered a love for both British Romantic and American Gothic Literature. Exchange with Notre Dame brought the privilege of studying Gothic fiction classics and fiction writing at the graduate level. Some of my fringe interests included the History of Russia,  Human Relations, Java Computer Programming, Asian Influence Literature and Culture, Photography, and Music Theory I

Through 4 summer internships, I experienced the Government at work first-hand. My initial responsibilities involved Intranet quality assurance for my division website. As my internships continued, the supervisors increased my responsibilities - I implemented Section 508 Compliance in all aspects of web development, and I managed the creation of an Intranet division newsletter for better inter-office and inter-agency communication.

Direct Mail experience expanded my knowledge of print-to-mailbox operations. In addition to editing and content writing, I have confidence and professional understanding of all aspects of direct mailing.

George Mason's Graduate program referred me to this great man of faith and endurance. I was privileged to be a part of refining memoirs of his life.

Life brought this courageous mother of 10 children to author memoirs of her experiences; I was honored to witness its fruition.

My interview test involved a press release write-up for the local newspaper. The company used both my journalistic and editing skills to create a 6-month e-mail series for businesses planning to move. During a board meeting, I successfully proposed a business strategy I had personally authored.
